School Networks
A network is a means of collaboration, communication and exchange with nearby and faraway realities. Even in 1945, the founder of Scuola-Cittą Ernesto Codignola, hoped for a renewal of the Italian school system through the birth of many scuole-cittą "school cities" spread around the country.

Today, with their scholastic independence, all schools could decide to become "school cities", especially those who share the ideals of a right to education for everyone and those who continue to uphold high standards of teaching practice. Scuola-Cittą is engaged in two network projects: the first is a local project within the Florence area with the aim of bringing forward the particular pedagogical tradition of Florence and Tuscany; the second is on a national scale in collaboration with two other experimental schools, with the aim of better defining the role of an experimental school, called project "Laboratory School".
